The Magic Mile
Start your morning with some good old-fashioned exercise and camaraderie! Join fellow FMCA members for The Magic Mile, a 1-mile course that will take you through the fairgrounds, giving you a chance to see the different areas of the convention. Participants are welcome to walk, run, or ride mobility scooters. You can even bring your furry four-legged friends! The best part about The Magic Mile? It's for a good cause! All of the proceeds raised from registration fees will be donated directly to a charity in the local area. Check back here to sign up for The Magic Mile.
For many attendees, the primary reason they come to FMCA conventions is for the learning opportunities available through the seminar program. Where else can you find so much information available in one place? Throughout the four-day event, industry experts, manufacturer representatives, and service providers convey the latest information about RVs and the traveling lifestyle.
At an FMCA convention, you can meet thousands of people who enjoy the traveling lifestyle with a thirst to see and do new things all in one place. At the convention, you will have all sorts of opportunities to meet new friends. From the informal parking lot happy hours to the planned area gatherings, there are plenty of social events for all to have a great time!

Gillette convention attendees will have the opportunity to meet featured speaker, Reid Lance Rosenthal, at FMCA’s Supersized Book Club on Saturday, July 11, 1:00 p.m. Reid will discuss his book Threads West, An American Saga.
Reid Lance Rosenthal is fourth generation land and cattle. His cowboy heart and poet's pen captures the spirit of the western landscape and its influence on generations of its settlers. His long-standing devotion to wild and remote places, to the land, and to the people--both past and present--who leave their legend and footprint upon America and the American West is the inspiration and descriptive underpinning of all of his writing.
Reid's works have enjoyed #1 Bestseller positions in numerous categories and genres, and he has, much to his delighted surprise, been honored with Twenty Five national awards as of the date of this printing, including Best Book of the Year award or Finalist (runner-up) designations in the categories of Western, Historical Fiction, Romance, West/Mountain Regional Fiction and Design! Thank you readers, and USA Book Review Awards, Next Generation Indies Awards, Independent Book Publishers Association--IBPA, Forward National Literature Award, International Book Awards, and Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPYs).
Book One and name sake of the sweeping #1 bestselling Threads West, An American Saga epic saga--winner of twenty-eight National Literary Awards in numerous categories including Historical Fiction, Multi-Cultural, Romance and Western. This novel and the ensuing books of this monumental multi-era epic saga are compared by reviewers and authors to Lonesome Dove, Centennial, and the Sacketts of Louis L'Amour. Called by some reviewers, "The Gone With The Wind of the West." Applauded by others as "rings true and poignant, as authentic and moving as Dances with Wolves" and "the Sacketts on steroids," the tale bursts with the adventure, romance and promise of historical America, the American spirit and the West.
