Pilot Flying J plans to open a Pilot Travel Center in Gilman, Ill., on Dec. 5, 2011. The facility will offer full amenities for professional drivers and the motoring public.
The new travel center is located at 815 U.S. 24 west, at exit 283 off Interstate 57.
The 12,500-square-foot Iroquois County travel center features six fuel islands, eight diesel islands and two RV islands along with a restaurant and a variety of convenience items.
The facility has high-speed fuel pumps that, according to a Pilot Flying J press release, provide faster flow so customers can refuel quickly.
“We hope that Gilman area residents and fleet customers will enjoy the convenience and amenities of our new Pilot Travel Center,” said Jimmy Haslam, president and CEO of Pilot Flying J. “The travel center will serve this community through products and services as well as contribute to the local economy through jobs and tax revenue. And, we’ll fill the needs of those carrying goods to communities across the nation.”
The Gilman Pilot Flying J location includes a Denny’s restaurant; restrooms; vending machines; pay phones; an AirVac, fax and copy services; Western Union; an ATM; lottery and Lotto tickets; an arcade; and general merchandise for travelers.
In addition to the two RV fuel lanes, RV customers will have access to plenty of parking, bulk propane and a dump station
As with all other Pilot Flying J locations, the Gilman Pilot Travel Center honors the new Frequent Fueler Advantage card and continues to honor points accumulated on the Frequent Fueler, RV Real Value Card and Driver Payback cards.
Pilot and Flying J merged in 2010, and both brands are still available on U.S. highways.
