Our Current motorhome:

A 1998 Fleetwood Discovery and a 2000 Fleetwood Discovery
A 2001 Monaco
Three words that best describe
our current motorhome:
Safety, drivability, quality
The best thing about our
motorhome:
It’s easy to drive.
We decided to buy a motorhome
because:
We love to travel and shoot and edit video from the comfort of our
own home.
Occupation:
John: filmmaker, cinematographer and RV travel video producer for
John Holod Productions & RV Adventure Videos. Jodie is co-producer.
We
produce RV Adventure Videos to help RVers save time and money on
their next RV trip. We spend most of the year on the road producing travelogues and
presenting them to audiences around the country.
The best thing about
motorhoming:
The people we meet on the road. Everywhere we go, we meet great
people.
Our favorite motorhoming
destinations:
Alaska, Key West, Maine
Our all-time favorite motorhome
trip:
Ferry trip with RV up Alaska’s Inside Passage
Our “dream” motorhome trip:
South Africa
Our perfect day of motorhome travel:
Drive five miles, and then rest by the campfire.
Our worst motorhoming
experience:
Sliding backward on ice into a ditch in Pennsylvania in February
2007.
The best addition we’ve made to our motorhome:
Our mobile editing studio so we can edit our videos on the road.
If we could change one thing
about our motorhome:
To spend more time with friends on the road!
Something about motorhoming
that we know now but did not know when we started:
Almost everyone we meet on the road is a great person.
When driving the motorhome the
most important thing to remember is:
Don’t drive too many miles in one day: Drive less, see more.
We joined FMCA because:
The fellowship it offers to RVers
Our advice for other
motorhomers:
Be considerate of friends and neighbors. Stop to smell the roses and
don't drive too many miles a day.
Our hobbies/interests:
Fishing, snorkeling, great beaches, great food
Favorite saying?
Life is short, so have fun!
Favorite holiday:
Fourth of July, because of the fireworks
Athlete or celebrity we admire
most:
No athlete or celebrity. We admire the real working people of our
country who go to work every day and make a difference.
Favorite restaurant:
Ruth's Chris Steak House
If we were given a free
shopping spree at any store:
We’d go to Brookstone for massage chairs.
Favorite campground:
The Voyager in Tucson, Ariz.
Bear Paw RV Park in Valdez, Alaska
When motorhomers visit our
state or hometown, they should be sure to see:
The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum
An item that is always in our
motorhome refrigerator:
Salmon!
Our advice to new motorhomers:
Enjoy the journey as well as the destination.

Something others would be
surprised to know about us:
After traveling 600,000 miles in the past 10 years in our motorhome,
when we go on vacation we leave our RV at home.
