Member Spotlight

Micki and Ly Seamans

Ly and Micki Seamans
New Hope, Pennsylvania

FMCA membership number:  F180942

We joined FMCA in:  1994

FMCA chapter memberships:  Eastern Pacers

Current motorhome:  2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor Diesel

Previous motorhome: 1994 Pace Arrow LE

We decided to buy a motorhome because:
We love to camp, travel and meet other people who share our lifestyle.

Current occupation:
Former human resources systems consultant, former sportswear buyer

Children, grandchildren:
We have four children: two girls and two boys.

The best thing about motorhoming is:
Going anywhere and meeting other people.

When we’re not motorhoming, we’re:
Maintaining our 250-year-old home.

Our all-time favorite motorhome trip was:
A trip to California via South Dakota, Yellowstone, Canadian Rockies, Washington, Oregon and back.

The best thing about motorhoming is:
The freedom of being able to leave when we want and to be able to go wherever we want.

One of our not-so-fond motorhoming experiences was:
We have never experienced a not-so-fond motorhoming experience. Even the worst experience is still a new experience.

Our “dream” motorhome trip would be:
A trip to Alaska.

The best thing about our motorhome is:
We can just hop in and go!

Something about motorhoming that we know now but that we didn’t know when we started is:
How everything works.

If we could change one thing about our motorhome, it would be:
To make it less full.

The best alteration/addition we’ve made to our motorhome is:
None.

Our favorite thing about FMCA is:
They are there to guide us and support us in this fabulous lifestyle.

A motorhoming tip we’d like to share with other motorhomers is:
Go whenever and wherever you can. Life is too short to sit at home.

Our hobbies/interests include:
Antique autos, amateur radio, music, sewing, antiquing, biking, woodcarving.

Favorite singer:  Frank Sinatra

Favorite restaurants:  Hotel Du Village in New Hope, Pa. Black Bass Hotel and Restaurant in Lumberville, Pa.

Favorite store: Antiques shops

When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see:
Bucks County, Pa.

Our advice to new motorhomers is:
Go wherever you can; use the motorhome!

Behind our motorhome, we tow:
A ’97 Honda Accord on all four wheels with a tow bar; a ’95 Jeep Wrangler on all four wheels with a tow bar.

Our favorite activity to do inside the motorhome is:  Relax.

Other FMCA members may contact us via e-mail at: Lyseamans@aol.com

Other comments: We would like to meet others in our area who would like to camp.
